Every year our church family rents a facility and a lot of us go camping together! There is usually a mess hall/kitchen, cabins, etc..... We had beautiful weather! The weekend was full of visiting, games, beach time, eating, and MISQUITOES.......(Canada's national bird!or at least Manatoba's, Saskatchewan's, and Alberta's)

Oh, and fireworks, too........which could of been bad, it is now comical. We had one firework get put accidentally upside down in the sand, so when it went off......it bounced up, and started bouncing and turning everytime it shot fireworks out......there was fireworks going towards the water, fireworks going towards some of our kids!, fireworks going towards the bushes.....one even landed on Dana & Shannon's van with a thud, then it made a beautiful shower of color around them (LOL)........today I found out there was even burn marks on the top of their van. So we are thankful that we are able to laugh at such an event. No one was to blame.....accidents just happen. Makes for telling good stories! :)

So much fun! Looks like perfect weather... and that poor little boy (Caleb I think was his name) with the bites... aww. I'm itchy just looking...

I will have to add BC to your mosquito list. We went camping last week and Danika's ankles were swollen one night then the next night her whole face swelled up from bites. It's the first time in a LONG time we've needed bug spray camping ... good thing cause it didn't even work too good.
