We have quite a bit of snow. Just thought I would put this on the blog for interest sake :) As you can see Rolland has partially shoveled the driveway, but plans to finish it later today. It is COLD out there today. -22 (-34 with the windchill!) BRRRRRRRRR. Snow is pretty but I sure wouldn't mind the cold to ease up a little :)
The camera didn't take very clear crisp pictures.......maybe need to look at the settings......but this is me at 22 1/2 weeks pregnant. Oh and did I mention It's a boy! :)
Well, when I posted earlier today we didn't know the gender of our little baby! BUT, my hubby was determined and was very very sneaky!!
He went down to the ultrasound office, talked to the receptionist......she said the same thing she told my doctor today "it isn't procedure for us to write the gender down"......HOWEVER, the tech was in the back and heard the conversation......He came out and recognized Rolland. Asked the name on the file..
Rolland sat in the waiting room twiddling his thumbs........the tech comes out and says......
"I wrote down male.......you're having a boy!"
Rolland then kept this news all to himself for the next couple of hours until we went on our date (we decided to still go on it).....handed me a card, and wrote on the back "the ultrasound tech told me it's a boy!"
It's a BOY!
Well went to the dr. today. The plan was that the ultrasound tech had written the gender of the baby in the ultrasound report. Soooo, today I was going to get the doctor to write the gender on a piece of paper, throw it in the envelope...and Rolland & I would open it on our date tonight.
Just the other day I had a gut feeling and I said "just watch Rolland, it won't be in the report".......and my gut feeling was right.....IT WASN'T IN THE REPORT!!! As much as not know the gender was my original plan..... I was (am) very disappointed. But everything is going well......so in the big picture, it really isn't something I should be disappointed about.
So as for now, we all have to wait to see in March or April!
Today I went to the craft show in town, with Shannon and Sher. Found some fun cute little Christmas gifts for a few people. One treat I brought home for the kids was a baggy for Dirt cups.......edible dirt cups! Kaelie helped me make them, then us four had some........Sydnie and Emily didn't like them. :)
Kaelie had PJ and crazy Hair day today........this was an easy morning to get ready for school. LOL. It didn't come naturally, we prepared for it the night before.
We will be heading to the Doctor on the 21st! The ultrasound tech has written the gender of our baby in his report........so we have decided to find out. We will do it somewhat a bit differently. I will get the dr. to write it on a piece of paper, and I will put it away. Then that night Rolland and I will go on a date......and open the paper! Stay tuned if you want to know!!
As a group, the Sunday school kids put together a couple of shoe boxes for the Operation Christmas Child. So this is the picture I took to send in the box.
My dad got this drawing updated.....I didn't realize the details that went into this cartoon drawing of my dad......but you should look really closely at all the details.....they all have meaning. Mom and dad felt that there were a few things missing in the first so they requested the artist add a few more things in. You could play a game....and note the different things in this picture than from the first. I think there were about 4 little things added.
Congratulations dad! Officially at the beginning of October my dad became a retired man! Here are a couple pictures. There was a party for him mid October which both my brothers were able to attend. Unfortunately Rolland, the kids and I weren't able to go.

We headed to the ultrasound today. I am 19 weeks pregnant. The ultrasound tech was very good. Told us many details! Healthy heart, brain, spine, all look good! Saw two cute little hands and feet. It is such a neat experience. We didn't find out the sex of the baby.....but it's going to be written in the report (thanks to Rolland) ~ note the sarcasm LOL. So not sure what's going to happen now. So care to vote, on whether you think it's a boy or a girl.....leave a comment :) Emily says it's a boy. Kaelie says it's a girl. :) I have no idea!!!! The pictures are mostly the side veiw of the baby's head. Fun Fun! This makes it even more real, and more exciting!
After our first trick or treatn' trip everyone came to our place for pizza! We got a chance to get all nice and warmed up. Then Sher and I took the kids that wanted to go out again afterwards. Three of hers and two of mine went. It was a nice spending time with our friends!

And to truly show you how cold that wind was.......look at my hubby......I'll give you permission to laugh if you choose LOL. I think he was 
warm though, didn't hear him complaining,,,,,,,just me and Sydnie were the worst complainers :) I think the temp was about -7 with windchill making it feel about -15......it felt cold! Although, this was the Haas' new nieghborhood....new houses and all......when we went later on that night in our "developed" neighborhood it really wasn't as windy....a bit of a nicer walk. The kids sure got A LOT of candy! Wow! We'll be having treats for a long time! :)
In the afternoon we headed over to Kaelie's school to watch the parade of costumes. Kaelie lead the parade of her class around the gym.
It was Story Time at the library on Halloween, so everyone got to dress up in their costumes.
And for their craft that day, they got to decorate pumpkin shaped cookies
I am having a tough time putting pictures up....but I do have more pics to come of the events of the day.
Emily and Kaelie dressed up as Princess Belle from Beauty and the Beast. They got these dresses from Kyle and Alanna when were in Disneyland. Sydnie was Cinderella, a costume that Alanna had bought for kaelie, years ago! Aren't they cute :)
