Summer time fun with friends

After the wedding that we went to a couple of weeks ago, my two oldest got to stay for a visit with our good friends, Kyle & Alanna. They had a wonderful time.....and needless to say, both the adults and the kids were very tired at the end of the week! They kept very busy with lots of fun things. We met up with them on Saturday in Souris. We had a very enjoyable visit with them.......
Teddy started tied up in the back of the van, but at one point we looked back and he was sitting backwards over the seat in an empty car seat.......so I tried to convince him to jump back but he wouldn't......so, we just let him sit on the back seat ...... I thought this was a cute pic.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!

We now have temporary living arrangements in our new "town". We are so excited. Someone was so generous to let us use their winterized cabin! We will be roughing it a little bit, with having to get our water hauled in (there is tanks to hold it.....we won't be hauling buckets in or anything LOL), and get our sewer pumped out......but we will be paying for someone to do that! It has all that we need!! And we will likely move in at the end of August!! We are just so relieved! It "buys" us some more time to find a place to live. We will be able to use this cabin from Sept till the end of June! God is an awesome God. He sometimes just waits till you say "I CAN'T DO ANYTHING ELSE".......I suppose that's when we truly give it up to him! It was because a friend of ours, knew someone else.....and this someone else is so generous to just let us live there, without even knowing us!

Time

Not sure if this will be a deep thought or not! LOL ~ not usual for me to write "deep thoughts" on here. It's late......and I have just been putzing on the computer. Looking back at pictures of old times, and memories. Time just seems to disappear as an adult.

However, I just wish I could turn it backwards. For many reasons, I suppose.

My kids are growing so quickly.....hard to believe I am going to have a 9 yr. old soon! And, as much as I look forward to not having more kids, I will miss the adventures of having babies.

I miss my friends soooo much from the city we moved from in June 2007. I wish so badly I could just turn back time. I think we would of made some different decisions. How I long to just hang out and be there again.

And now as we wait to figure out a house (a box to put our home that we already have ~ as someone said this past weekend)........I wish I could fast forward time just so I would know where we will be living and be settled.

But really Time is such a human thing......God has no time. He sees it all! We have been trying hard lately to be puting our trust in that. Some days we do well at it, and other days, we stink at it. And yet we know that everything will turn out just fine (just wish we could skip to that part!)

Another beautiful wedding!!

We headed to Manitoba this past weekend where Rolland performed another beautiful wedding. Congratulations Sharon and Tori! What wonderful sweet couple! We have known Sharon for about 9 years, she was in Rolland's youth group when he was a youth minister. And even though it was just recently that we got to know Tori, we have known some of his family for quite a few years, too!

We also did a bit of holidaying! We went swimming at our hotel, visited friends, and toured a common tourist area........where friends of ours have a little business of "family bikes".......our two older ones missed out but they were off having fun with some other friends of ours!

Isaac and Syd were drinking from the sprinkler.....it was quite cute ....we thought.
Isaac can stand up in the middle of no where on his own....he even listens to you when you tell him to stand up. (most of the time). And now he has finally taken a few shaky steps here and there.........still not his mode of transportation but it is coming.

Hot Ride!

A friend of my parents popped by one evening to take us all for a hot ride, in his hot rod!! Rolland got to go first, but I didn't get a pic of him......then the girls.......and then mommy! It was a pretty neat ride!

OUCH!!!!

Back in May when I took the kids to the dentist. He told us that Emily's two bottom front teeth were starting to get loose, and likely by summer or fall she would start to lose them. That was pretty exciting for Emily to hear! Well, the one bottom front tooth became very lose this past week. It was only hanging on by a tiny little bit. And as excited as she was, she still didn't want to yank that thing out............. However, one afternoon while playing catch with big sister, Kaelie, a ball came and lightly smacked Emily's mouth........and "pop" out came that very lose tooth! Tears were shed :) But us adults , sure got a kick out of this story!

He is quite the character. Changing everyday, really understands what we are saying, stands up in the middle of the room.....but still no walking on his own. He is very quick to scoot on his bum.....and is quite the climber too! His vocab is small.......Ball, bath (are both "Ba"), and for the most part it is pointing his finger and grunting! I did get him to say he was done one day! :) (mom was my witness!)

Can I believe that my 8 (almost 9 yr old) girl got highlights! Sheesh!! :) I think I was married before I had such a thing! Kaelie has been asking......so grandma bought a package and we did the girls hair with the one package. They turned out quite nice actually and look very natural. The two younger girls', you can hardly tell. :)

Canada Day!

We had a very fun Canada Day! We got to enjoy a small town parade.....which was so nice, not crowded, very enjoyable!

Then we headed to a park for tons of fun, and FREE stuff!! It was so much fun. The kids got to swim, face painting, etc....Free hot dogs, cotton Candy, snow cones, popcorn and more!
