My brother, Marc, emailed me this picture today. His buddy James made this dino on Marc's front lawn! It's great, hey! Syd said "when Uncle marc's friend comes to our house, maybe he will show us how to make one"! :) Better come soon James! :)
My good friend Shannon and her hubby, Dana (he's my friend, too LOL) have become advocates for Compassion Canada. So they are looking for "foster parents" to support many children!

They both said they had a wonderful time! It was neat to hear their stories and look at their pictures. And they even brought us back gifts! (Emily said "she isn't supposed to do that, it was for her birthday") ~ I hope one day Rolland and I will be able to take such a trip......one day maybe!! :)

My older two girls got their report cards back and last night we went to Parent/Teacher interviews. They are both doing so wonderful in school. It is nice to hear "what a pleasure they are to have in class". Sometimes as a mom I wonder what kind of a job I am doing with these kids. At home we see negative things (and the negative things seem to stay in my head).......and I can be pretty hard on myself. But it is so awesome to hear that they are nice, hard working students at school. :) I am so very proud of both of them!! Good job Girls!!
Happy Birthday Isaac & Rolland!!!
We aimed to have Isaac right on Rolland's birthday.......but he just didn't quite wait long enough....being born the day before!
We celebrated Rolland and Isaac together, as a family though. Last night I made one of Rolland's favorite suppers. Creamy curry chicken with pasta. He used to order it all of the time at Boston Pizza (Creamy Curry Penne). Then later in the evening, we had cake and let both Isaac and Rolland open more presents!
We got Rolland a deep fryer.....kind of a strange gift, I know......and maybe not so health conscious. But you see, he is now on a nice little weekend get-away to meet up with a buddy (and see a few other friends) to go to a Hockey Game in Edmonton.......and that was really his main gift....this trip. But I thought it would be fun to get him something.....what do I get a guy who has so much! LOL ~ a deep fryer! :) He really was surprised and liked it a lot. He makes some really yummy homemade potatoe chips usually in a pot with oil.......so I thought this deep fryer would come in handy.....the kids made him some homemade cards, and gave him some yummy treats, along with the canola oil to put in his new deep fryer. Hopefully, it is an appliance we don't use too often LOL :)

This is some new clothes that Isaac got. The nice sweat suit was part of a gift from Grandma Marie and Grandpa Henri. And the monkey shirt was part of the gift from Uncle Dan and Auntie Tara........THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR ALL THE GIFTS!!
Oh it is so hard to believe that my little guy is two. I LOVE this age though. Things get somewhat "easier" in a way. They get more scheduled, more communicative, and you just see them growing & changing all of the time. This is the stage that probably caused me to keep having babies LOL :) BUT no more babies this time!! LOL
For Isaac's birthday we had a couple of friends over for a playdate, and lunch. We decided to do a ball theme. One of his favorite things! It was a simple "party" really, the kids played, we had lunch together, opened a couple of gifts, and had cupcakes. I somehow missed a picture of Janessa. She had to head out sooner than i expected. I think the kiddos had a nice time together though.
I thought these "easter eggs" were great for my party!! :) I made homemade playdough and gave each of the kids that came two little ball easter eggs with playdough inside!

Isaac seems to be changing a lot lately. We are hearing new words pop out of his mouth often! My girls were talking in sentences at this age, Isaac not so much. But his vocabulary is getting more and more. And we got rid of the sucky a couple of weeks ago, too! Just disappeared! :)

On Saturday we got to +10 at least! It was awesome! We went for a nice long walk, then came home, sat outside on the deck and enjoyed the warm sunshine....amoung the melting snow! Then we thought it would be nice to BBQ something for lunch, so we had burgers. The kids even decided to eat outside! Hoping this weather stays!!!

The Sea Lion show was a lot of fun. All of us enjoyed it ( I think! )
On Friday we were planning on going into town in the evening to go to the girls' school for family fun bingo night. Well some how Kaelie got confused and thought I was picking her up after school....so she didn't get on the bus. And Emily did.
At least Kaelie was in a good place, she phoned me, and then made plans to go to a friend's til we came into town. Mean while Kaelie got very concerned about Emily being on the bus. She phoned me a second time from her friend's and asked if she could have the bus driver's phone number so she could call to make sure Em was on it. But I said not to worry. I would of heard if she wasn't. Again Kaelie called around 4PM asking if Em had arrived home yet. "No not yet" I said, "Can you call me when she gets home" Kaelie said. I reassured her that things would be fine, and I would call her when Em got home.
Emily walked into the door a few minutes later........and broke into tears "Kaelie wasn't on the bus". I hugged her and said Kaelie was fine. She missed the bus and was at her friend's.
I phoned Kaelie to let her know that Emily made it home safely.
It was just so nice to see, that when it all comes down to it, my kids actually do care about each other :)
I am in a group called Stampers 10 ~ once a month we get together, get taught a Stampin' Up technique, we each commit to buying at least $25 of product and we take turns being the hostess for the evening. Last night was my turn to be the hostess, with which comes the benefits of free product! :) I decided to let Kaelie come along, kind of some nice mom and daughter time. The craft we learned was glass etching using Stampin' Up! It was awesome!! Kaelie really enjoyed it, so did I. I look forward to trying to do some at home!

Rolland and I are doing a "game" called 52 weeks of Romance. Just something random I had found when I was searching online for a Valentine's gift. It is quite similar to the 40 Day Love Dare on Fireproof, in a way. Except this "game" is just by a secular company. Last week, my challenge was to write 3 random notes to him telling him why I love him. I put one in his Bible, one on his desk at the office and I emailed him one. His challenge was to have a moon lit picnic.......well, in the winter in SK.....not the easiest thing to do. So one evening while I was out, he baked brownies, made duct tape flowers (when you live in the middle of no where, real flowers take some planning LOL), candles lit, etc..... it was very sweet! :)
I Love my kids' school! It has so many great things about it. One of the great things about it, is the the programs the school provides for free! Kaelie has been able to go to the cooking class a few times already, and I have volunteered to help. But I haven't taken my camera. This time it was Emily's turn, and I remembered my camera! 
It's a great program! They talk about the food groups. They learn how to measure, etc..... On this occasion they made, mozza sticks ( so easy! so yummy!) baked, pizza quesidias, and yogurt parfaits. I think Emily really enjoyed it. I enjoy going to help out too!
My mom 60th birthday is coming up.......and with that special birthday us kids were trying to come up with a good idea! Well, Dad had come up with a great idea (Wii, with a lot of accercies including the Wii fit) BUT Dan & Tara had come up with an even better idea LOL They thought us kids should send mom and dad on a trip.....Happy 60th (and happy anniversary!) Sooooo, this is how the events panned out.......
Saturday morning Dan sent an email with this youtube link click here Mom thought this was a funny "commercial" and she even forwarded it to a few people. She even thought at first that the guy might of been Dan! LOL

After looking at this email......she said "I don't get it" LOL :)
Then my sweet dad (and Drew ~ the boarder that lives at my parents) , while I took my mom out for a birthday lunch, wrapped up A LOT of Wii stuff! (at this point Dad thought I was joining him in the purchase, poor guy!).
My mom was SUPER excited about the Wii! She thought it was an awesome gift!! (and still thinks it is!)
The next event was me making a ethnic supper.....what do I make from the Dominican!? Who knows......so I made a bit of a Mexican dish. Enchiladas! It went over pretty well.
After supper they wanted to check out the Wii, so mom, dad, Drew and myself played a lot of the wii fit together. It was a lot of fun. And I didn't want to take away of the excitement of this new gift from my dad.
SO after it was getting a bit later in the evening (like 10PM!) I said I had a little bit more for her. From Dan, Tara, Marc, Rolland, myself, and the kids........
First was the gift from my kids.....a book that they drew for her.

They only have a little over a couple of weeks to stress about it! LOL :) Off they go!!!!!!! :)
Just mom and me. This was a bit of a mom and me weekend. My wonderful hubby let me sneak away. He kept all four kids with him. It was a special time. A lot of fun making my mom's birthday special! I am very blessed to have my mom as my mom and my friend. She is a special lady, and I thank God for her :)
And to top it off on Sunday my dad planned for a friend to make a beautiful cake. We had it after church with a potluck. It was also a special birthday for Katelyn (born the same day as my mom) Her 13th! Happy 13th Birthday Katelyn!!! So we all sang happy birthday!
A special man passed away over a week ago. Eric was a mentor to Rolland for many years. We care very much about his whole family. So we headed to Edmonton to celebrate Eric's life with his friends and family.
While we were there we also got some of our own family time in too.......
