Happy 5th Birthday Sydnie!!!

Our Sydnie turned five a couple of days ago! So hard to believe! She was super cute about her birthday. Loved the attention......and little brother wasn't so pleased that all the gifts were going to her. We started her day with a gift from Kae, Em, and Isaac.......
A peeing baby alive!! :) She was quite pleased and excited!
That evening we had our own celebration with her, bought doughnuts and put five candles in her's.



She got to open more gifts after supper, a little kitchen set from us, clothes from Auntie Tara and Uncle Dan (THANK YOU), A very cool coloring kit and clothes from Grandpa and Grandma B (THANK YOU) ............................................................................................................

Then the following day we decided to have a couple of families over that we are friends with and that Sydnie has little friends in. The weather was rain, and snow.....and we had a BBQ ~ we ate inside of course! It was just a great time of visiting, the kids played, eating and fun! THANK YOU for coming, and for the gifts!!!! Sydnie felt very special! :)

Sydnie is a very special gal. We enjoy her a lot. She has changed so much over the past few years. She still gets into some strange mischeifs once in a while, but has definately calmed down. Still LOVES baths, those had to slow down since living here at the cabin LOL, She will be going to Kindergarten in the fall (hard to believe!!) and is really looking forward to it. (she thought since she turned five, she should be going now). She is a sweet heart......loves people, and helps people feel loved.

I AM SO EXCITED!!!!

I am in a mess.......and slightly overwhelmed, but I am so excited!!! We will be moving once again! But hopefully this will be it for a while. And it is more permanent than what we are in now, and bigger!!! :)

My week is insane with baseball practise for the two older girls, my youngest daughter's birthday, and a get together for that, packing packing, and moving!!

I am SO excited!!!!! :) Just had to share!

I participated in "what makes a house a home giveway" a little while back from Lucy's Life Blog. She is now doing another neat post that I am participating in again!! I hope you will too! Lucy found a post about a Pay It Forward chain and she decided to sign up. And now Lucy has a post on her blog to find the first five readers to sign up on her blog for a Pay It Forward surprise! I am one of the five! So in the next year Lucy is going to send something to me 'out of the blue' as a RAK of sorts (RAK is Random Act of Kindness)... I can't wait!!!

Weightloss..........

I am really struggling with trying to lose weight. The issue isn't things not working, the issue is my brain ! :) But today is a new day, and it is another day 1 to start again. Last year (end of Aug. '07) I started, and throughout the months I did very well. I ended up losing 45 lbs. Well, since the summer of '08 I have probably put 25 of that 45 back on :( So not only do I still want to lose that 25, but more!

I try to think of it as a spiritual journey too. Working on my self control. So maybe I need to get back more into the Word, and more prayer to get me through this.

I am doing this post, to maybe help with accountability too!

Schnookums bows

My friend just recently had an e-party for Schnookums bows . And I ordered some GREAT clips and bows for my girls. There are a variety of different bows and snaps for ALL ages. Lucy's House a Home Give away challenge

As I said in the previous post we are not in our own house, we are literally borrowing it. The borrowing of it is coming to an end and we will be moving to our own house very soon (which we will rent~ for now). But for the past 8 months this place has been our home. We also have moved many times (6 times ~ 5 different towns/cities (soon to be 7 times, 6 different towns/cities) in the 11 years of our marriage...... I sure hope it slows down! But that being said, it is truly obvious that the house isn't the home. (a box to put our home that we already have)

So what makes our house a home:

1. Our Heavenly Father ~ thankfully He follows us wherever we go!



2. Our Family ~ whose each individual personalities make up a big part of our home!



3. Homemade baking and meals.







4. Time spent together making memories.



5. Our dog, Teddy. Although a little lacking in attention, still belongs to our family.



6. My bed ~ again not actually a bed owned by us ~ but it is where we rest our heads each night, where we relax and are comfortable, where we look forward to going after being away for a few days. ~ and of course the mess that surrounds it! :)



7. My morning cup of coffee, sometimes with my hubby, sometimes with God, sometimes just me while the kids running all around :)



8. My albums that I enjoy scrapbooking, with memories of our family and friends ~ and the time I enjoy while I am doing them!



9. The piles of freshly smelling folded laundry of all the different sized people in our family ~ and the piles that still need to get done!




10. and I must admit the electronics ~ my laptop and the television :)

What makes a House a Home challenge

Reading my friend, Jen's blog (again!) I have discovered a new challenge. It really got me thinking because we are not in a permanent home, we are borrowing it, and we don't even have a lot of our own things here, but it is still our home. Emily is a winner!

We got a phone call the other day from the Bargain Shop telling us that Emily won the coloring contest. So when we went into town today we went to pick up her prize. Her prize was to get to choose anything under $10! Pretty cool for a kid!! :)

Easter break has been going pretty good. We haven't done anything major. The weather was quite nice for a couple of days so we did get some time outside. Blowing bubbles, going for big walks/bike rides, etc...... today it was rainy and chilly though. We went into town for a bit, and then this afternoon while Isaac napped the girls and I did a craft. I got this idea that I get from my email. I get this emailed to me every now and again, and it has some great ideas!!

My friend Jen has started up a second blog called Phun with Photography. JUST FOR FUN! She has found different blogs that put out different photography challenges. This really interests me, but I really haven't taken the time to fulfill much of the challenges.

Easter Morning (and day)

Kaelie and Emily (and eventually Isaac) woke up to a BIG trail of chocolates coming out of their room and then hidden throughout the house. I think they all enjoyed the fun of it! And then on the table was a big basket with a couple little games, bracelets, the movie "Bolt", and then Auntie Alex had sent them some new outfits, too!!



Easter morning ready for church. Isaac's outfit from Auntie Alex was a bit too big, so he got to wear a different one. But the girls got to match!! :)

When we arrived at Grandpa and Grandma's Sunday afternoon I was able to take a pic of all three girls in their matching outfits! We had a nice visit with Grandpa and Grandma H, enjoyed a Turkey dinner, visiting and even got a girls swim in today! It was short, but it was really nice!

Dying Easter Eggs

On Good Friday, Kaelie, Emily, Isaac and I dyed eggs. (Syd missed out this year, but she was having a blast at Grandpa and Grandma's). I bought a Hannah Montana kit as you can see LOL :)


Isaac got really into it, and had a great time doing it!
