Bouncing Baby Boy!!

Isaac's way of getting around......like I said earlier, Emily didn't crawl either but I have to say the two have their very own way. Emily moved around like a little monkey....scootching.......Isaac bounces! LOL

If the next two months go as fast as these 10, my baby boy will be one year in no time!

Almost a year! ....well not quite, but really close! He isn't a very active 10 month old (kind of like his big sister Emily). He isn't crawling, and showing no signs of it. He is, however, scootching or "bouncing around on his butt".....slowly. So he is figuring out how to get around, in his own way. And big sister Emily did the same thing around the same age! And both were very clingy, "fussy" babies. I have my moments when I am really enjoying this age, and I have moments when I long for him to have a little bit more independence (therefore, maybe be a bit of a happier guy). Napping........getting a little bit better........today he napped for almost two hours for the first nap......but hasn't been too happy. I was able to snap some "happy" pictures of him while it lasted. I tried to video him scootching, but he was just frustrated......will try to post a video of it at some point.

My kids have a bit of a new look......mostly Kaelie.

I can see the difference can you see the difference?! :) Yes, she lost another tooth......but my kids got their hair cut! I love it when it is all trimmed up nicely and shorter.....just doesn't look so scraggly. I never thought, I would like them with "shorter" hair. Kaelie also decided to cut her bangs.........She looks younger now I think!

Grandpa and Grandma came for a little visit

I didn't take a lot of pictures but it was a really nice time. For everyone. I was very thankful for my mom's help during the weekend. She deep cleaned my bathroom, did a few loads of laundry, folded it, and a whole bunch more things! It was great. I sometimes wonder ....... a household seems like it would run smoother with two hard working women! LOL :)

Rolland even talked my dad into playing a bit of the xbox.....star wars, and racing!

Rubie's Magic M & P shop!

Can anyone guess what the title means!!???
Kaelie ( AKA "Rubie" ) has opened her own "M"anicure and "P"edicure shop! :) It all started one Sunday when she was over at her friend Carissa's house. Kaelie had called me to come and get her around 4PM and told me not to bring anyone and that I had to stay for at least 20 minutes. So when I got there, I had to lay on their couch while Carissa massaged my hands with lotion and Kaelie massaged my feet with lotion. It was quite nice......after I got passed the kind of awkward feeling LOL :) Soooooo, Kaelie was quite interested in the idea. I bought her a couple new nail polishes, a new lotion, and a container for it all. When Grandma Mariann came, Kaelie wanted to do a pedicure for both Grandma and I. It was really nice actually. She used the foot spa, and foot scrub (my big expensive bottle of $20 foot scrub!.....minds well get use out of it, right?!). AND she only charged us $1 each.........LOL which my mom paid for me!

Kaelie wasn't as involved with wanting to do her sister's feet..........but Emily sure wanted her to. So she did a very basic pedicure LOL


This past Sunday we had Justin and Jen over as well as Justin's parents were in town so they came too! Kaelie offered to do Jen and Judy's pedicures too. How nice of them to be good sports about it. Kaelie did their's for FREE!! LOL

We have a new niece!!

Kaydence Savannah was born today at 4:24 AM. Rolland's sister and hubby had baby number 2! Little sister to Tayla. She was 7 lbs. 9 oz. All is well! Congratulations Aimee and Kris! We are so excited for you!!!Can't wait to meet her!

Some things we have been up to lately.......

I take the two younger girls and Isaac to Story hour at the library once a week. I think it is a great time for them......they talk about themed words, read themed stories, and then do a craft . They really enjoy it. Their teacher is so nice and knows the kid's names! It's great!



School for Emily is going alright. I will be the first to admit that I haven't been very diligent about it. But I was so encouraged when she started sounding out three letter words! She is pretty pumped about it too. The other day we did some "fun" stuff....... Sydnie gets pretty involved, too!

Laughing boy!

Before Christmas, Kaelie was being silly (as you can see on the video) and Isaac thought it was hilarious so we took this video. He has been laughing for a while now. But isn't baby's laughter great! So fun to listen to! Isaac is now 9 1/2 months old, he still isn't crawling.......but is getting around more and more while sitting on his bum.

This is a mini section of the Christmas concert from Kaelie's school concert. This is her class. The whole concert was called "El-Ves Impersonator". Can you spot Kaelie in the video......she is the one with the reddish shirt on. She gets into it pretty good. The concert was Dec. 20th.

High Tea

Today a few of us girls went for High Tea. Lorraine planned, organized and reserved for us. It was such an enjoyable time! We laughed so much, it was such a much needed time, for me!
There was seven of us. We had veggies and dip, small sandwiches, scones, and small dessert squares...... and lots of tea! Our own teapot full! I chose the monk tea......vanilla and grenadine, very nice!

I tried to have a little self control.....only having two dessert squares. Although, I think Crystal did much better than that! Plus I was so full from all the tea and scones!

Doggy School

Today was Teddy's first day at school.....or our first day at Teddy's school. It went really well. We all went....which I think was really good. Teddy was soooo excited to play with the other puppies. He was having a play date! Made a good friend, named Buddy. :)

My second baby girl is 6 yrs old

Emily turned 6 yrs. old yesterday. Hard to believe 6 years have passed by so quickly. Emily was probably the most unique of all births. First of all, I was shocked she was a girl....I was sure she was a boy! :) (I guess I don't have good instinct LOL), from start to finish labor was 3 hrs, and we also had Emily at our home in Winnipeg (that was planned, and very professionally done). What an awesome experience. Emily is a sweet gentle spirit. You know she is thankful and excited, but she doesn't get over ecstatic about it. We are blessed to have our Emily.

We had a few celebrations for Emily......and she soaked it in! :) She was surprised with a few birthday presents in Edmonton, then in Calgary, we had a mini party for her and Tara.

Today we had a Barbie themed birthday. I am not a big planner......I also find it hard to plan for a birthday party so shortly after Christmas :) But I think it went well. Emily picked out how we should do her cake, and she decorated it too! The girls made their own pizzas, played a few games Barbie, Barbie, Little Barbie (duck, duck, goose) ~ made up by Kae and Em. Pin the crown on Princess Emily, musical pillows. I think it was a fun filled time.

Back through Lloyd again!

This time we stayed at our other close friends. We got to see a few people at the New Years Eve game night at the church building, and the did some more visiting at our friend's place.

We had a wonderful and busy and fun Christmas holiday. So nice to be able to spend it with our families, and our close friends. God has blessed us with all of you! We hope everyone else had a wonderful Christmas........and wish you many blessings in 2008!

Dan and Tara hosted a wonderful Christmas dinner in their new home. It was so nice to be there, very comfortable! And we got to meet Tara's parents, too!
